Quick disclaimer: I am not nor have I ever been a producer or a gear head. I do know quite a few beatmakers and equipment junkies though. My old roommate had an MPC 2000 and I was always fond of its simplistic design and signature punchy sound. So when I heard all this fuss about the MPC Renaissance I was more than a little intrigued. In this promo vid from Akai we get to see a bunch of ‘ooh’ and ‘awww’ product features as well some of the best pad punchers in the game: AraabMUZIK, Sean C, and LV. Will the MPC Renaissance be worth the hype or the asking price? Only time will tell.
